Undergraduate Students in Their Second Year of Preparatory Class
• Undergraduate students who are repeating the preparatory class will first take the YDDS (Placement) exam.
• Those who score 59.5 or higher on the YDDS will be exempt from the preparatory class by taking the YDMS-AGE (Proficiency) exam.
• Those who score below 59.5 on the YDDS and those who fail the YDMS-AGE will be placed in the preparatory class.
• In their second year, these students may choose to take the YDMS-AGE by studying on their own and not taking the preparatory class, and thus they will not be registered for the preparatory class, but they will retain their right to take the YDMS-AGE. Students who wish to exercise this right must apply to the School of Foreign Languages Secretariat with a petition immediately after the exam results are announced.
