Full text submissions should be between 5-15 pages. Submissions that are shorter or longer will be directly rejected.
Full text submissions will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.
Once the full text is completed, it should be sent in WORD (.docx) format to sempozyum.iya@aybu.edu.tr. The responsible author's name and the title of the paper must be included in the text part of the email.
The deadline for full text submissions is DECEMBER 14, 2025.
Full text papers will be evaluated for publication in the ULISA: Journal of International Studies, Humanitarian Aid Special Issue and in the full-text proceedings book.
Selected full text papers will be published in the ULISA: Journal of International Studies, Humanitarian Aid Special Issue. Selected full-text papers not published in the journal will be published in the proceedings book.
WRITING GUIDELINES
Text
1. The submission text should be in Cambria font, 11-point size, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides, formatted in single column, at 1.5 line spacing, with 6nk before and 6nk after, justified, on A4 paper size.
2. Paragraphs should start with a 1 cm indent and no space should be left between paragraphs.
3. When emphasis is needed in the text, bold formatting should be used.
4. There should be 6 nk space before and after paragraphs.
5. Footnotes should be in 10-point font.
Title of the Submission
1. The title of the submission should clearly state the topic, field, and boundaries of the problem being addressed.
2. The title should be bold, centered, and only the first letters of words (except conjunctions) should be capitalized, in 12-point (Cambria) font.
Abstract/Keywords
1. Each submission should include an abstract in both Turkish and English at the beginning.
2. The abstract should contain the purpose, key findings, and conclusions of the submission.
3. The abstract should be justified and written between 200-300 words. Full text abstracts submitted to the congress should be identical or similar in nature to the abstract submitted for the first time.
4. The abstract and keywords should be in Cambria font, 10-point size, and single line spacing.
5. At least 3, and at most 5 keywords that describe the content of the submission should be listed at the bottom of the abstract.
Headings and Subheadings
1. All headings should be written in the Cambria font, size 12.
2. First-level headings should be in uppercase, left-aligned, and bold.
3. Second-level headings should capitalize the first letter of each word and use lowercase for the others, left-aligned, and bold.
4. Third-level headings should capitalize the first letter of each word and use lowercase for the others, with a 1 cm indent, left-aligned, and bold.
5. Fourth-level headings should capitalize the first letter of each word and use lowercase for the others, with a 1 cm indent, left-aligned, bold, and italicized.
Paragraph formatting is as follows;

Table and Figure/Image Representation
1. Tables and figures should be prepared in a publish-ready format and included where they appear in the text.
2. The text used in tables and table titles should be in Palatino Linotype, size 10, with single line spacing. The table title should be written above the table.
3. In table titles, the first letter of each word should be capitalized.
4. The text within the table should be in single line spacing, with 0 nk space before and after, without adding spaces between similarly styled paragraphs.
5. Vertical lines should not be used in the table.
6. The width of the table lines should be set to 12 nk.
7. There should be 12 nk space before and after the table.
8. In the representation of table titles and table numbers, the table number should be bold and left-aligned, while the table title should be normal and left-aligned.

9. The figure title should be displayed below the figure. In the representation of figure/image titles, the figure/image number should be bold and centered, while the figure/image title should be normal and centered.

REFERENCES
1. References must be arranged alphabetically.
2. In-text citations and the writing of the references should follow the APA style and must be included at the end of the report. Examples of reference usage are provided below.
3. Reports that are cited with footnotes will be excluded from consideration if not assessed.
4. References should be written in Cambria font, size 11, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides, in a single column, with single line spacing, 6pt before and after, left-aligned, and on A4 size paper.
5. References should have a hanging indent of 1 cm.
Reference Connector and Usage
When citing within the text, a reference connector should be used. In the reference connector, the author's last name, the publication date of the work, and in direct quotations, the page number should be provided.

In references with four or five authors, the first appearance should be as (Yılmaz, Kaya, Sönmez and Kurnaz, 2013) and in subsequent parts, it should be abbreviated to (Yılmaz et al., 2013).
Six or More Author Reference Connector
For works with six or more authors, it should be abbreviated in the first appearance and in subsequent references.
Other Important Considerations regarding Citations
In cases where multiple works by the same author from the same year are cited, the works should be ordered as follows: (Yılmaz, 2013a), (Yılmaz, 2013b), (Yılmaz, 2013a, 2013b)
In cases where multiple works by the same author are cited, the works should be ordered as follows: (Yılmaz, 2014; Yılmaz, 2015).
When citing works by authors with the same last name, the citations should be given as follows: (Yılmaz, 2013), (B. Yılmaz, 2014), according to Yılmaz (2013), according to B. Yılmaz (2014).
In cases where multiple citations pertain to the same topic, the references should be ordered chronologically and the ones with the same date should be listed alphabetically by surname: (Arıcı and Ungan, 2008; Aytan, 2010; Göçer, 2010; Kurudayıoğlu and Karadağ, 2010; Karatay, 2011; Dağtaş, 2012; Karadağ and Kayabaşı, 2013).
Abbreviations related to institutions should be stated the first time they appear and then referred to using the abbreviation in subsequent sections: General Directorate of Security (EGM) – (General Directorate of Security [EGM], 2012).
Legal texts should be shown as follows: (National Education Basic Law, 1973).
In cases where a range of pages is cited, it should be presented as (Yılmaz, 2013, pp. 61-63).
