Department of Archeology Master's Degree with Thesis

Department of Archeology affiliated with the Institute of Social Sciences provides 2-year master's degree education with thesis. The language of instruction of the courses given by the Department of Archeology is Turkish. Education has been provided in Master's programs at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University under our department's Archeology Department since 2022. The main goal of the Department of Archeology is to train individuals who are equipped with what our country needs, who have the ability to use contemporary technologies in their profession, and who are committed to presenting their production in the fields of research, teaching and service for the benefit of society, in the light of universal values. It is among our important duties to train competent archaeologists who can bring to light the unique cultural assets of our country with scientific methods and to train staff who know how to preserve and exhibit these works in our museums with modern methods.

In order to graduate from the program, students are required to take eight courses, complete seminar work, and then write a thesis under the direction of their advisor.
