Important Announcement About 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester

Dear Students,

We wish mercy from God for our people who lost their lives; healing for the injured and give them our condolences to the rest due to the earthquake disaster experienced in our country. With the purpose of binding up our wounds, coping with such a terrible process, and helping to turn into normal, the below decisions were taken only for this semester for 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester pursuant to the decision of our University Senate dated 21/02/2023 and numbered 2023/04/01.

  1. AYBU Academic Calendars of AYBU 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester have been updated and the academic procedures will continue in the frame of the updated version.  Educational activities of short cycle, bachelor and graduate programs including English Prep Class education will start on 27th of February, 2023, Monday via distance education on AYBUZEM. However,  face to face education will be offered in the programs indicated below which have applied training in the frame of Directive for Applied Trainings in Higher Education; 
  1. 4th, 5th and 6th classes of Faculty of Medicine,
  2. 4th and 5th classes of Faculty of Dentistry,
  3. Entirely-applied courses of Nutrition and Dietetics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Audiology and Speech and Language Therapy Programs of 4th class Curriculum of Faculty of Health Sciences including applied trainings of the Nursing Department courses whose codes are HEM102, HEM202, HEM302, and HEM402.

  d 4th class curriculum applied courses such as those that require 7+1  application and those that require workplace training or teaching,

  1. .2022-2023 Academic Year Fall Semester Examinations for those who will take “Examination of 3 Courses for those who are about to Graduate” and “Additional Exams” that can be taken by short cycle- bachelor and graduate students who exceed maximum period of study take both of which were postponed will be offered face to face on the date announced on the updated academic calendar and the rights of the students caused by the earthquake will be maintained.
  2. The students who want to suspend their study for the Spring Semester can do application on Student Information System on add and drop period indicated on the updated academic calendar.
  3. The students who have both of the below conditions can do for being special students to AYBU Directorate of Student Affairs with a letter of demand for being a special student, residence permit document, transcript of records and student certificate till add and drop period indicated on the updated academic calendar.
  1. Those who are the students of the universities located in one of the cities that was effected by the earthquake/who have immediate families in one of these cities or those immediate families have temporary or permanent residence in Ankara.
  2. The students who are registered to the programs that have equivalence to one of the programs who are announced to offer face to face education.

AYBU Rectorate will provide information in the light of the updated information if more  decisions will be taken for 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester. We wish you all a healthy and successful semester.
