  • BAP Project: Investigation of the Relationships Between Cognitive Flexibility, Autonomy, and Critical Thinking: A Mixed Methods Study (01.04.2024- ongoing)
    • In the field of education, the dynamic interaction of cognitive flexibility and a set of fundamental skills has emerged as a subject of increasing interest. Cognitive flexibility, recognized as the capacity to adapt one's thinking and approach in the face of new situations and challenges, serves as a fundamental skill with far-reaching effects on learning and problem-solving. Critical thinking functions as a crucial link that connects critical competencies such as learner autonomy, cognitive restructuring, problem-solving, and adaptability. Understanding how cognitive flexibility intricately weaves these vital skills is a significant topic of research for educators, researchers, and policymakers seeking to enhance educational strategies, curriculum design, and teaching methodologies.
    • This project aims to investigate how the RALL 101-102 (Advising Learning Lesson) courses, offered as a credit elective course providing e-government approved certification within the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Rectorate, help develop autonomy, critical thinking, and cognitive flexibility, and to examine the relationships and interactions between the variables.
    • Students who successfully complete the RALL course and receive their certification are provided with part-time student employment and field experience opportunities at the University's Learning and Teaching Center (ÖĞMER) through the Learning Consultancy Program. Thus, these activities will also contribute to the education and training dimension.
