Audiology; It is a branch of science that aims at diagnosing hearing and balance disorders, determining and applying appropriate rehabilitation approaches, and increasing the quality of life of the individual. It is one of the priority areas that contribute to the protection of public health with practices and preventive approaches to prevent these disorders.
The prerequisite for speech and language development is hearing function. Audiologists with a bachelor's degree in audiology apply versatile, innovative, and individualized approaches to early diagnosis and auditory rehabilitation of hearing loss, thus minimizing the negative effects of hearing loss and contributing to the language and speech development, social interaction, and academic success of individuals.
Audiologists apply comprehensive tests for the evaluation of the vestibular system in patients presenting with dizziness and balance disorder, evaluate the results and, when necessary, apply individual vestibular rehabilitation approaches to increase the functional capacity and quality of life of the individual.
Audiologists; works in communication and cooperation with different professional groups and contribute to science by following science and technology and conducting scientific studies since audiology is a developing branch of science.
Our department aims to train qualified audiologists who have sufficient knowledge and skills in their profession, are knowledgeable, principled, innovative, equipped, productive, successful, respectful of ethical and human values, and who produce and share information through scientific studies.
