Applications Open for TÜBİTAK 2237-A “The Future of Cultural Heritage: BIM-Based Digital Documentation and Sustainable Conservation Training”

Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts will host “The Future of Cultural Heritage: BIM-Based Digital Documentation and Sustainable Conservation Training,” supported under the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Grant Program for Scientific Training, from 21 to 25 September 2026.

Focusing on the use of contemporary digital technologies in cultural heritage conservation, the training program will address the digital documentation of cultural heritage, Heritage BIM (HBIM), laser scanning, photogrammetry, and sustainable conservation approaches through theoretical and hands-on training.

The program will bring together academics from different universities as well as representatives from public institutions and industry as instructors, with the aim of enhancing participants’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in current methods and technologies used for the documentation and conservation of cultural heritage.

The training will be conducted face-to-face at the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Esenboğa Campus.

Candidates wishing to participate in the program may submit their applications online between 10 and 30 August 2026.

Accommodation, transportation (in accordance with the program guidelines), and meal expenses of participants admitted to the program will be covered under the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Grant Program for Scientific Training.
