Two Research Projects Led by Prof. Dr. Gülnihal Meral Receive Funding

Two research projects led by Prof. Dr. Gülnihal Meral, a faculty member of our department, have been awarded research funding.

The first project, entitled "A Novel Within-Host Model for Hepatitis B Virus Dynamics and Its Mathematical Analysis," has been funded under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Program. Graduate student Kader Nur Utkan is participating in the project as a scholarship holder. The project aims to investigate the within-host dynamics of the Hepatitis B virus through mathematical modeling and analytical techniques, providing a deeper understanding of the mechanisms governing the hepatitus B virus.

The second project, entitled "Comparison of Local and Global Numerical Methods for Singularly Perturbed Nonlinear Reaction–Diffusion Problems” has been funded by the Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordination Unit of our University. Graduate student Büşranur Bilal is serving as a scholarship holder in this project. The project focuses on comparing different numerical methods in terms of their accuracy and efficiency for solving singularly perturbed nonlinear reaction–diffusion problems, which frequently arise in engineering and applied sciences.

These projects are expected to make significant contributions to the research activities in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis carried out in our department. In addition, they support the active involvement of graduate students in research, thereby contributing to the academic development of young researchers.

We congratulate Prof. Dr. Gülnihal Meral and the graduate students involved in these projects, and wish them continued success in their research.
