The library and study hall established at the Varlık Health Campus by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ) Department of Library and Documentation Services were officially opened with the participation of AYBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Tutar, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Adnan Öztürk, Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Emine Şebnem Kurşun Çakmak, and Head of the Department of Library and Documentation Services Halil Gürbüz.
Designed to support students’ academic studies, the library and study hall have been arranged to accommodate a total of 72 people. Equipped with study desks, lighting, and power outlets, the spaces provide a suitable environment for students to pursue their coursework and research activities. The library section also offers access to printed resources and a quiet environment for studying.
Following the opening ceremony, the ninth Student Meetings event, organized by the Department of Library and Documentation Services, was held with the participation of Faculty of Dentistry students. AYBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu met with students to listen to their views, suggestions, and concerns. The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students had the opportunity to address their questions directly and receive responses in an open dialogue.
The AYBÜ Department of Library and Documentation Services continues to enhance the physical facilities that support students’ academic development and to strengthen communication between university administration and students through student-centered events.
