Within the scope of the EKUAL Project, conducted by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, a new Read-and-Publish Agreement has been signed with the Institute of Physics (IOP) covering the period 2026-2028, providing unlimited access to academic content and publication of Open Access (OA) articles. All EKUAL member institutions in Türkiye will have access to IOP Science Extra and Electrochemical Society (ECS) content.
Under this agreement:
- *The suitability of the article under the EKUAL agreement will be verified through the author's institutional name. Our researchers (active faculty members) have the right to publish articles in Gold OA and Hybrid OA journals throughout the agreement period, provided they are the corresponding author.
- *Articles should be submitted via the institutional email address (aybu.edu.tr).
- *Articles must be accepted within the current agreement period.
- *The "first come, first served" principle applies. If the article is accepted but there is no quota available, the APC fee will be the responsibility of the author. If the quota is filled; you can publish your article in Hybrid journals as "inaccessible" (free of charge), and in Gold journals you can continue by paying the APC fee in person.
Retroactive Open Access Conversion
All articles submitted from January 1st onwards will be converted to Open Access (OA) in both hybrid and Gold journals.
