Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University is a higher education institution that contributes to building a strong future for its students through the provision of high-quality education and training, strives to carry forward the profound heritage of our scholarly tradition to the present day, and operates with academic, administrative, and financial autonomy.

Our University aims to educate individuals who are open to inquiry in the fields of science, culture, sports, and the arts, and who respect ethical values through the high-quality education it provides; to generate knowledge and technology through research driven by its entrepreneurial spirit and to serve society; and to contribute to the development of human capital at both national and international levels with a strong sense of social responsibility.

Our University also aims to integrate the common approaches of different disciplines within the same processes, to offer broader perspectives, and to foster new discoveries.

Within this framework, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University:

✓ Provides education content focused on R&D, innovation, and technology at the international level,

✓ Prioritizes education and research that are open to criticism, inquiry-based, and outcome-oriented,

✓ Organizes competency-enhancing training and activities for staff, students, and external researchers to improve research potential; initiates joint initiatives for this purpose and supports such efforts,

✓ Establishes and develops incentive and recognition mechanisms to increase motivation for R&D activities,

✓ Evaluates the adequacy of research resources and opportunities and aims for continuous improvement,

✓ Develops strategic partnerships and promotes national and international inter-institutional collaborations and interdisciplinary initiatives to enhance the diversity of research resources and opportunities,

✓ Adopts the principles of equality, fairness, diversity, and inclusiveness in access to R&D opportunities for its staff and students,

and thus maintains a comprehensive research and development policy.
