This notice applies only to the 12 students in total who are registered in the following two courses, which are scheduled to be cancelled.
The two courses scheduled for cancellation due to insufficient student numbers are listed below:
• CE457 – Computer-Aided Highway Design (6 ECTS) – 5 students
• CE425 – Hydrosystems Modelling and Management (6 ECTS) – 7 students
Both of these courses scheduled for closure are worth 6 ECTS credits and are classified as ‘Design’ courses. According to the graduation requirements, students must complete at least two Design courses in order to graduate. Therefore, it is important that you take the Design course requirement into account when selecting your alternative course choices.
Should the number of students in either of the above courses exceed 10, only the other course will be cancelled. Therefore, if you can reach a consensus amongst yourselves, it is possible to switch to one of these two courses as a group, thereby ensuring that only one course is cancelled.
Students enrolled in the course that is to be closed must select a new course from among the elective courses offered this term. When making their alternative course selection, it is important for students to pay attention to their current ECTS status and choose a suitable course from among those worth 6 ECTS or 4 ECTS, depending on their needs.
Students who are not yet eligible to graduate this term may fulfil the Design course graduation requirement in the following term by selecting from the Design courses to be offered in the spring term, provided they have not yet completed this requirement.
The elective courses available this term are listed below:
• CE406 – Properties of Fresh and Hardened Concrete (4 ECTS) – Tuesday 13.30–16.20
• CE410 – Infrastructure and Project Finance (4 ECTS) – Friday 11.30–14.20
