Prof. Dr. Çelik defined hydrogen as an energy carrier, not an energy source, emphasizing the inevitability of the transition to clean energy in line with carbon neutrality goals. He also stated that Turkey has a significant advantage in the production and export of green hydrogen from renewable sources such as wind and solar.
📌 Highlights of the program:
Hydrogen's critical role in energy systems as the fundamental building block of the universe
Hydrogen transformation with the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2053 net-zero emissions target
Turkey's renewable energy-based green hydrogen production capacity
H2TEAM - Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Application and Research Center's domestic electrolyzer and fuel cell development efforts
