Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Seminar: Interpretation of Graphs and General Information Sharing on PEM Fuel Cells

On Friday, February 21, 2025, members of the Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Research Center gathered for a productive seminar on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC).

Project assistants Mohammed Alobeid and Furkan Çetiner gave a comprehensive presentation on the working principles of EIS, data analysis and its use in PEMFC diagnostics. The meeting discussed the role of EIS in analyzing the performance of fuel cells and how important parameters such as resistance, capacitance and reaction kinetics can be obtained.

In addition, information was shared on the methods of applying EIS in PEMFC tests and the interpretation of impedance spectra. Participants had the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical role of this analysis method in the development of fuel cell technology.
