Significant Support from the Ministry of Energy for the “Hydrogen and Fuel Cell” Project

Led by Prof. Dr. Selahattin ÇELİK, the team has taken an important step in the development of buses powered by hydrogen fuel cells, which serve as an eco-friendly and sustainable transportation alternative. This revolutionary project aims to play a key role in the transformation of Turkey's energy sector.

The “Development of PEM Fuel Cell System for Sustainable Energy (SİNERJİ)” project, which started on July 1, 2024, is supported by the Turkish Energy, Nuclear, and Mineral Research Institute (TENMAK). The project will last for 36 months and has a total budget of 2.3 million dollars.

The aim of the SİNERJİ project is to develop PEM fuel cell technology and provide sustainable energy solutions. This project stands out as one of Turkey’s innovative steps in the energy field. Prof. Dr. Selahattin ÇELİK and his team aim to respond to both local and international energy needs through this project.
