- For research conducted by AYBU students and employees that requires collecting non-clinical information from human participants, applications are made to the AYBU Science and Engineering Ethics Committee with this application form and other necessary documents. AYBU Ethics Committee evaluates the application within the scope of the "Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive" and the "AYBU Ethics Committee Directive".
- The researcher must add the data collection tools to be used in the research to the application attachments made via ABS. (If it is a qualitative study, sample questions to be used in the study should be added).
- The Consent form to be given to the participants within the scope of the study (parental consent form if necessary) should be added to the attachments section.
- Researchers must add all the materials they will use (scale, demographic form) completely to the ABS attachments section.
- The first part of the project approval document (signature page) must be signed by the researcher and added to the attachments section.
- The start and end dates of the study requested to be specified in the form refer to the start and end dates of the data collection process, and your study cannot start before obtaining ethics committee approval.
- The signature of the advisor is not mandatory in studies carried out under the supervision of an advisor.
- The name of the person who directly applies to the ethics committee should be written in the first place.
- The researcher's/researchers' relationship with AYBU must be stated in the ethics committee application form. AYBU Science and Engineering Ethics Committee only evaluates the applications of employees or students within our university.
- The ethics committee application form cannot be filled out by hand.
- Failure to write the requested information in the ethics committee application form or omitting some sections will cause your application not to be evaluated.
After creating the Application Form in ABS, the first page should be printed out, and the signature section of the applicants should be signed with wet ink, scanned, and added to the application attachments section.
