From Science to Product: Our University Wins Grand Prize at TEKNOFEST 2025 The invention titled “Autonomous Control and Extension System for Tumor Prostheses,” developed by Dr. Sıtkı KOCAOĞLU, a faculty member at our university, has been awarded the TEKNOFEST 2025 Turkish Patent Best Academic Invention Award. This innovative system, which combines advanced mechatronic design, control engineering, and biomedical applications, aims to enable prostheses to extend themselves and achieve a patient-centered structure after tumor surgery. Protected by national and international patents, this achievement is a powerful example of how knowledge generated in laboratories can be transformed into technology that serves humanity.
