Students who wish to enroll in the ENGR450 course must satisfy not only the requirements determined by the University and the Faculty, but also the additional conditions specified by the Department. The University and Faculty requirements can be accessed here.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering requirements are given below.

Application Criteria:

  • The candidate engineer must have no missing courses from the first two academic years (1st and 2nd year) for any reason.

  • In the semester in which the candidate engineer takes the ENGR450 course, they may take at most two courses from the 3rd year curriculum.

  • The cumulative grade point average (GPA) must be at least 2.75. (Updated on 24.01.2024)

  • The company with which the student has an agreement must employ at least one Electrical and/or Electronics Engineer.

  • The company must employ at least three engineers in total.

  • The student must work at the company at least two days per week.

Required Application Documents:

  • A current transcript.

  • A signed and stamped official document obtained from the company, which must state:

    • That the company accepts the relevant student (including the student’s full name and Turkish ID number),

    • The period during which the student will work at the company,

    • The number of working days per week,

    • A brief introduction of the company and detailed information on the number and types of engineers currently employed (e.g., 3 Electrical/Electronics Engineers, 2 Mechanical Engineers, etc.).

Application Deadline:

  • The deadline for applications is 10.02.2026.

Evaluation Process:

  • The evaluation process will be conducted based on the student’s work presented before a three-member jury. Each student is required to submit and present reports during both the mid-term and final periods.

Application documents must be scanned and sent via e-mail to the student’s academic advisor. Students whose applications are accepted will be required to submit the original copies of the documents to the Department Head’s Office in person after the announcement of acceptance. Please do not attempt to submit documents in person during the application phase; hard-copy submissions will not be accepted at that stage.

Note: There is no quota limitation for this course.
