Dear Prospective Students;

The Child Development field focuses on examining the processes of the individual from prenatal to the end of adolescence in many contexts such as cognitive, social, emotional and language. The field of child development, which includes defining and evaluating the developmental characteristics of children, and planning intervention processes for the child and family, aims to train qualified professionals for other sectors where work is carried out for children, especially in the fields of health, education, justice and social services.

Considering that children constitute a large proportion of today's society, such as one third, the importance of protecting the child, monitoring its development, education and raising it in accordance with children's rights becomes even more important. As Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Child Development Department; believing that child development professionals are professionals who have an important role and influence on society, family and especially children, three basic elements are taken as basis in our program to ensure that our students graduate as well-trained professionals.

Our program is based on the development of personal qualities such as developing skills on observing and working with children through basic academic knowledge, field experiences and practices in order to develop a scientific understanding of child development, and finally, having professional ethics in the light of national, spiritual, cultural and universal values.

As a department that appeals to everyone who is interested in the development of human beings, who wants to learn about the development of the child in all its dimensions and to serve the best interests of the child, we will be happy to meet you, our esteemed young people, who have directed their preferences towards being a child development specialist in this field and towards our university. I wish you good luck.
