“Period Works Exhibition”

Period works prepared by students of the Department of Architecture at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University's Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, as part of the ARCHE304 Islamic Architectural Ornaments course, were presented to art lovers in the exhibition titled "Period Works Exhibition."

The opening ceremony, held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Ulucanlar Semi-Open Prison Printing House Exhibition Hall, was attended by Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. İhsan Toktaş, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Akın Aktaş and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız, faculty members of the Department of Architecture, students, and numerous guests.

Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. İhsan Toktaş delivered the opening speech first. Toktaş provided detailed information about the exhibition's content and the students' works, emphasizing the importance of young architects reinterpreting traditional values ​​from a contemporary perspective. Following this, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. In his speech, Abdullah Yıldız emphasized that the students' works contribute to the university's cultural and artistic life. Finally, the exhibition's curator, Assistant Professor Cemile Feyzan Şimşek, shared information about the coursework and highlighted the students' hard work.

Following the speeches, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. İhsan Toktaş, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Akın Aktaş, and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the exhibition.

Following the opening, attendees toured the exhibition area and examined the students' original works with interest. It was announced that the exhibition will be open to visitors from October 1–3, 2025.
