A training-of-trainers program was organized for Turkologists and Turkish teachers in Iraq in collaboration with the International Union of Eurasian Education Unions, Turkish Education Union, the Turkmeneli Student and Youth Union, and our university, DİLMER.
The program, held in Kirkuk province, was attended by 50 Turkologist academics and Turkish teachers from Kirkuk, Mosul, and Erbil. The training was delivered by DİLMER Director Bünyamin Oğuz, Deputy Director Latif İLTAR, and faculty members Kürşat İLGÜN and Çağrı Batluralkız. The program provided pedagogical and methodological information aimed at improving the quality of Turkish language teaching in Iraq.
As part of the project, visits were made to the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Kirkuk University, Turkish Maarif Foundation Schools, and non-governmental organizations operating in the education, health, and culture sectors in the region to discuss potential collaborations. Additionally, a Turkish for Foreigners Exam was administered to 100 students from across Iraq.
