The Sociology Department of our university, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was ranked in the 801-1000 range in the 2025 Sociology World Rankings announced by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world's respected higher education ranking organizations. Our department achieved significant success by ranking 12th among sociology departments in Turkey.
The Times Higher Education rankings are based on five main criteria: research quality, research environment, industry revenue, international outlook, and teaching. This success reflects the national and international scientific research, publications, and projects carried out within our department, primarily our qualified academic staff and disciplined educational process.
This significant achievement by our Sociology Department once again demonstrates our university's academic competence in the social sciences and its global visibility.
We would like to thank all our members, especially our academic staff, who contributed to this process and wish them continued success.
