The Turkish Final of the Interuniversity Men's Quran Memorization Competition was hosted by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Students representing six different regions from across Turkey participated in the competition.
A Distinguished Jury Evaluated the Competition
The jury members were Dr. Hafız Osman Şahin, Head of the Quran Review and Recitation Board of the Presidency of Religious Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ali Öğe, Konya Provincial Mufti; Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Koç, Ankara University Faculty of Theology Faculty Member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydın Kudat, Ankara University Faculty of Theology Faculty Member; and Prof. Dr. Yaşar Düzenli, Istanbul University Faculty of Theology Faculty Member.
AYBU Rector and Academicians Attended the Program
The program, along with the families of the contestants, was attended by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Orçan, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Nuri Adıgüzel, along with numerous academics and students, attended the event. The event was notable for its spiritual atmosphere.
Winning Students Announced
First place went to Muhammed Yasir Akbulut from Marmara University's Faculty of Theology. Second place went to Abdurrahman Deyri from Gaziantep University of Islamic Sciences' Faculty of Islamic Sciences. Third place went to Ahmet Esentürk from Kafkas University's Faculty of Theology.
