Our Faculty of Theology Participated in the Maturidi Conference in Samarkand

A delegation from our university's Faculty of Theology participated in the international conference titled "Maturidiyya as a Teaching of Tolerance, Moderation, and Knowledge" held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The event, held to commemorate the 1155th anniversary of the birth of the great Islamic scholar Imam Maturidi, saw significant academic contributions made on behalf of our faculty.

Prof. Dr. Nuri Adıgüzel, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, chaired one of the conference sessions and presented his presentation on "Reason and Wisdom in the Thought of Imam Maturidi." Dr. Abdulmalik Tuychibayev, a faculty member from our faculty, presented a paper on Imam Rustufaghni, one of Maturidi's students.

As part of the event, as a result of discussions with the Uzbekistan Imam Maturidi International Center, a mutual agreement was reached to hold regular online joint conferences every month under the title of “Towards a New Enlightenment: Scientific Interviews.”
