A panel discussion titled "Women's Touch on the Digital Age" was held in the conference hall of our July 15 Martyrs' Campus, organized by our University's Software Engineering Club (ASEC), to highlight the growing role of women in the IT and entrepreneurship world.
The opening speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Gülnihal Meral, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences.
The event brought together students with women leaders who have made significant contributions in technology and entrepreneurship. Speakers included Ceyda Süer, Founder of Flexvision Tech; Merve Hatice Karataş, Head of the TSE Information Technologies Testing and Certification Department; and Esma Dilek, Deputy General Manager of Communications at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and President of AUS Turkey.
Invited speaker Ceyda Süer shared her career journey from corporate life to entrepreneurship and the experiences she gained along the way.
The panel, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal Arslan, Head of the Software Engineering Department, included a Q&A session with the invited panelists. Following Hilal Arslan's presentation on a female perspective on academia, Esma Dilek provided important information about the role of women in the public sector, the responsibilities they undertake, and the challenges they face. Merve Hatice Karataş addressed the ongoing efforts to obtain international certification for value-added products developed in Turkey and the journey of this process from the perspective of a female executive.
