Organized with the cooperation of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Samarkand State University and supported by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) “International Symposium of Uzbekistan from Past to the Present” was held on 11st and 12nd of November 2021 in Ankara. The sessions of 11st of November of the conference to which 15 Uzbek academicians took place were held in the conference of Block C of AYBU Esenboğa Campus. The sessions of 12nd of November of the conference were held at the conference hall of AYBU Etlik National Will Campus. 46 participants presented their presentation during the symposium which was delivered in 13 sessions. The opening speeches of the symposium were delivered by Head of Organization Committee of the Symposium Prof. Dr. Murat Demirkol, Deputy Head of TIKA Dr. Rahman Nurdun, Rector of Samarkand State University Prof. Dr. Rustam Khalmuradov, Rector of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı, Head of Turkey and Uzbekistan Friendship Group and Deputy of Bursa Osman Mesten.
The symposium has an additional significance because it was held in a period in which dimensional relationships between Turkey and Uzbekistan has accelerated. The main objective of the symposium is to enhance the cooperation and joint studies between the academicians of both countries and to pave the way for the cooperation of higher education institutions of Turkey and Uzbekistan. In the line with this, academicians who carry out studies in different areas will have a chance to carry out studies who study in their fields and to provide contribution to scientific researches worldwide both qualitatively and quantitatively.
During the symposium, presentations were presented on many topics including politics, diplomacy, law, finance, theology, literature and history. The presentation presented in Turkish Language of Turkey and in Uzbek were translated into one another. All presentations will be published in a proceedings book both in Turkish and in Uzbek. During the conference, it has been planned to organize a similar but a more comprehensive symposium in Uzbekistan.
Uzbek academicians paid a a visit to the historical places in Ankara under the guidance of AYBU Staff and took part in the meetings held by Mayors of The Municipalities of Çubuk, Keçiören and Mamak.
