The international online conference entitled “Self-Directed Learning and Advising in Language Education” in the cooperation of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University School of Foreign Languages and International Association of Teaching English as a Foreign Language Learner Autonomy Special Interest Group (IATEFL LASIG) was held on 24th of April in 2021. The presentation selected from the ones presented during the conference has been published ın Special September Issue of Studies in Self-Access Learning (SISAL) Journal. Seven articles and three activity assessment were presented in the journal edited by Instructors of AYBU School of Foreign Languages Dr. Tarık Uzun and Stephanie Lea Howard. The study topics of this special issue which also includes institutional and applied studies are autonomy of the learner, learning consultancy and independent learning. The SISAL journal that is listed on the journal among the journals of Quartile 2 (Q2) level.
