AYBU Graduation ceremonies that will be held at AYBU Esenboğa Campus and AYBU Salt Lake Campus were given start with AYBU Faculty of Medicine. During the ceremony in which 293 doctors were graduated tha was held within the frame of pandemic conditions. AYBU Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı, Distrivy Governor of Çubuk Adem Keleş, District Governor of Pursaklar Mehmet Yıldız, Mayor of Municipality of Çubuk Baki Demirbaş, Chief and Coordinator Physician of Ankara City Hospital Op. Dr. Aziz Ahmet Surel, Head of Ankara Emergency Health Services Assistant Professor İshak Şan, Dean of AYBU Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Pınar Özışık, Deputy Dean of AYBU Faculty of Medicine Tuğba Ensari, students and their families took part in the graduation ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Aydınlı, who referred to the fact that AYBU is a rapidly developing universities that is in a sweet competition with the rooted universities during the graduation ceremony that is broadcasted as a live broadcast on YouTube channel, said that:
"Initialization and development of AYBU will be held on this area. The university that will determine the future of North Ankara will be AYBU. The grad-students will move to different parts of Anatolia, especially during their compulsory service. They will come across with either a farmer who has just come from the garden or a minibus driver. In other words, they will come across with varied people of Anatolia. What we expect from our students is to as a grad-student of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, show their difference.
Dean of AYBU Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Pınar Özışık stated that they are having the enthusiasm of completing the academic year. She also referred to the fact that thanks to the pandemic, the students got used to online education and added that sometimes students were the ones who taught technology to the lecturers. She said that “In such an honourable day of our faculty, I sincerely congratulate dear young physicians, their families and valuable professors of the faculty. The students did their best during the hard times and completed their education. They showed that they can work at any part of the world. Today is the day they are graduate, but they will always remain as our sons and daughters. We are proud of them. I sincerely congratulate you all thanks to your self-sacrifice.”
The top grad-student of the faculty Ahsen Karakaya who delivered a speech on behalf of all grad-students said that they are ready to offer service at any part of the country with the education and sense of mission they have gained.
The graduation ceremonies will continue to broadcasted as a live broadcast
The top student of the term in Medicine Program in Turkish İrem Özdağ expressed her wish that all grad-student will take position in the department and city they prefer.
After the speeches that are broadcasted as a live broadcast on Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University YouTube channel, diplomas and gifts were presents to the students by AYBU Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı and Mayor of Municipality of Çubuk Baki Demirbaş.
The top student of the term İrem Özdağ and Ahsen Karakaya wrote their names on the log and all students took the oath of physicians. The diplomas were presented and the ceremony continued with concerts.
Catering service of the ceremony was supported by Municipality of Çubuk. The ceremonies will continue to be presented as a live broadcast on AYBÜ YouTube channel until 13rd of July.
Vaccination &Graduation
Before the graduation ceremony, the students and their families were vaccinated at AYBU Esenboğa Campus.
Rector of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı state that the university set up a booth in order for the students and their families to be vaccinated.
Prof. Dr. Aydınlı added that "Graduation ceremonies will continue for 10 days. For this reason, we have preferred an open area. We will not only celebrate graduation, but also do vaccination. Hereby, we will contribute to vaccination campaign as AYBU. We want to serve as an example to all universities with such a possibility.
After the vaccination, the program continued with protocol speeches and graduation ceremony.
