Libraries are social institutions that meets any kind of information and documentation needs of the society and provides significant contribution to cultural, social and financial development of the region they are located in. Present is being transformed rapidly to a digital era and the pandemic we have been experiencing is accelerating it. Information demands of digital societies made it inevitable for the libraries to reassess their information services. Information left documentation behind and the libraries that offer information service set off a journey to a virtual world. Today information has turned into a service that is being submitted to our home, work, and school and wherever we are by librarians. Library week that covers the final week of March with the purpose of providing reading habit to people has been celebrated since the year 1964. This year thanks to pandemic, the significance of the libraries has been realized deeply. With these feeling, while celebrating 57th Library Week, I wish success to valuable librarians and wish that all students and academic staff will continue to give importance to the libraries.
