ARABIC PREPARATORY EXEMPTION EXAM
Fall Semester (September 2021)
Those who want to be exempt from the Preparatory Class among newly enrolled students in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences must take the 'Preparatory (Arabic) Exemption Exam'.
* Participation in this exam is optional.
*Students who have just registered to our faculty in 2021-2022, and
* Students who have attended the preparatory class in our faculty but need to repeat the class can participate.
* 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students and students from different faculties cannot participate. (Except the students who failed)

The Faculty of Islamic Sciences Undergraduate Program Preparation (Arabic) Exemption Exam will be held face-to-face in two stages, written and oral, on September 30, 2021, at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences (C Block) building of AYBU Esenboğa Campus.
Written and Oral Exam Date : 30 September 2021
Written Exam Time : 10:00 – 12:00 (120 mins)
Oral Exam Time : 13:30

ARABIC PREPARATORY EXEMPTION EXAM CONTENT AND APPLICATION
1. Session (Reading Comprehension / Grammar / Listening Comprehension / Written Expression):
The Written Exam will be held between 10:00-12:00.
The Written Exam will consist of Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Listening Comprehension and Written Expression sections. In this exam there will be 50 questions which were prepared using Silsiletü’l Lisan Arapça Dil Serisi ve El-Kavaidu'l-Müşeccia Series.
In Written Exam:
- 47 multiple-choice questions will be asked to measure Reading-Comprehension and Grammar skills..
- In the Listening and Comprehension section, students will be asked to answer questions about the text to be listened in Arabic in written form, and a dictation (printing) question will be asked. (2 questions)
- In the Written Expression section, students will be asked to write an essay in Arabic. (1 question)
2. Session (Oral Expression/Application Exam):
Oral exam will start at 13.30 (Note: It might start at 13 according to the conditions)
Students will be taken to the exam one by one and the exam will be administered in the form of a face-to-face interview. Since this exam is not only in the form of a speaking exam, but in the form of a practice exam, students are given reading in Arabic over the book and on the texts; Synonym and antonym, grammatical analysis, reading comprehension through dialogue examples, etc., will be able to ask various questions that measure the student's general Arabic knowledge.
Scoring and Evaluation :
1. Session Written Exam :
- Reading-Understanding and Grammer : 70 points,
- Listening-Understanding and Written Expression: 30 points,
will be evaluated out of a total of 100 points.
2. Session Oral Expression / Practice Exam :
Will be evaluated out of a total of 100 points.
The results will be calculated by taking the average of the scores obtained in each Written and Oral exam.
