The purpose of the program:
The Graphic Design Associate Degree Program aims to train professional staff who can design all kinds of media communication not only TV and other mass media but also the internet. Moreover, it is aimed to train intermediate technical staff who can produce photography, video, interactive media design, animation creative production.
Education Process:
In the Graphic Design Associate Degree Program, students receive a 2-year education at the associate degree level. The courses and internships they attend constitute the infrastructure of the students' professional knowledge and skills.
During the 2-year education in the Graphic Design Associate Degree Program, they take theoretical courses such as Art History, Perspective, Advertising Graphics, and Illustration also participate in applied training such as Sectoral Internship.
At the end of the second semester of the Graphic Design Associate Degree Program, students do their internship practice for two hundred and forty (240) hours in thirty (30) working days in the summer term. The internship aims to reinforce the theoretical knowledge and experience gained by our students during their education and to enable them to recognize their responsibilities, relationships, organization, and service process in the institutions they will work in.
Every student studying in the Graphic Design Associate Degree Program has to do an internship at the appropriate institutions before graduation in order to gain practical working experience and improve their application skills. The responsibility of finding an internship place belongs to the student, and the suitability of the institution/organization recommended for the internship must be approved by the department.
Employment Opportunities:
Graduates of the program become "Graphic Design Associate Program Graduates". These graduates can find jobs in all areas where visual design is used in advertising agencies, press organizations, and television channels. In addition to being able to open their own workplaces, graduates of the program can work in medium and large sized printing and broadcasting institutions, graphic design studios, advertising agencies, media sector, public and private institutions in the promotion unit.
In addition, students who graduate from the Graphic Design Associate Degree program can take the Vertical Transfer Exam and complete 4-year undergraduate programs such as Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, and Visual Communication.
