Aim of the Program:

      The main target of the program is to train qualified “aircraft technicians” that will serve the needs of civil aviaiton industry. During the course of the study, all theoretical courses are enriched by hands-on practical training and opportunities like internships offered to students to realize their know-how. Additionally, necessary professional computer and foreign language skills are developed by expert instructors of the department.

Course of Study:

2 years of mandatory education is offered for the Aircraft Technologies Associate Degree Program. The curriculum and the mandatory internship of the program form the basis of the vocational knowledge and skills required.

During a total of 2 years of education, students enroll theoretical courses like Basics of Electricity, Avionics, Basic Aircraft Theory, Aircraft Stuctures and Materials, Engines supported by many other practical courses and internships.

The mandatory summer internship is executed at the end of the second semester of the progam for 30 (thirty) days and twohunderd and forty (240) manhours. The purpose of the intertnship is to strenghten students theoretical knowledge and make them understand and experience the business aspects of the industry like taking responsibilities, communiciaton skills, organizational structures and service processes.

The internship served in an approved company or enterprise is mandatory for all students enrolled in the program to develop practical skill set. The responsibility of finding the appropriate company belongs to the students which must be approved by the department.

Career Opportunities:

      Graduates of the Aircraft Technologies Program are recruited by Maintenance and Repair organizations authorized with the SHY-145 Certificate by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government, Militaray and Police Air Vehicle’s Mainteannce and Repair organizations, Manufacturers of Aircrafts and Parts both Certified and Non- Certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Mainteannce and Repair organizations, airline operators and airports.

Terms of Enrollment:

The Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) is the body responsible for organizing the national level university entrance examination system for the Aircraft Technologies Program.
