2022 Incentive Report

The research and development (R&D) studies conducted in our faculty for the year 2022 have been determined under the scope of Academic Incentives and have been disclosed on a department/academic staff basis.

There are 153 faculty members currently working in our faculty. 46 faculty members have carried out research that surpasses the 30-point threshold for the 2022 Academic Incentives. In this context, a total of 9 departments' faculty members have applied for academic incentives in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, including:

  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Energy Systems Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Metallurgy and Materials Engineering
  • Software Engineering

Faculty members of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazit University's College of Engineering and Natural Sciences published a total of 180 articles and contributed to their publication in internationally indexed scientific journals in the year 2022. In addition to articles, the faculty members who also worked on book chapters, books, and conference papers prepared a total of 284 publications in the year 2022. With the contributions of faculty members who applied for academic incentives from nine different departments, the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences achieved a total of 2296.0 points in the 2022 incentive applications.

Figure 2. The number of faculty members who applied for academic incentives on a department basis and scored above 30 points.

When examining Figure 2, it is evident that the highest number of applications, totaling 10 faculty members, originated from the Mechanical Engineering department.

Another analysis, aimed at explaining the relationship between the total number of faculty members in each department and the number of faculty members applying for the academic incentive program, is presented in Figure 3.

Figure 3. The number of faculty members who applied for academic incentives in each department and the total number of faculty members in each department.

Upon examining Figure 3, it can be observed that none of the departments had all of their faculty members apply. When looking at the graph as a whole, it is apparent that the ratio of faculty members applying for the academic incentive program to the total number of faculty members is around 30%.
