The 2nd Electrochemical Energy Technologies Symposium, organized by the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Chamber of Chemical Engineers, Ankara Branch, was held on November 27–28, 2025, at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Gazi University. Bringing together innovative topics focused on energy transition, sustainability, and environmentally friendly technologies, the symposium served as an important scientific platform for academia and industry.
The Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Application and Research Center (H2TEAM) participated in the symposium with a delegation consisting of Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelik, Center Director; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Ünveroğlu Abdioğlu, Deputy Director; Research Assistants Ahmed Emin Kılıç, Furkan Çetiner, and Sefa Şahin; and Project Assistant Mohammed Alobeid.
Within the scope of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelik, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Director of H2TEAM, contributed with an oral presentation entitled “Development of a 50 kW PEM Fuel Cell System for Sustainable Energy (SİNERJİ) and the Future of Fuel Cells.” The presentation addressed the development of high-power PEM fuel cell systems, their application areas, and the strategic role of fuel cells in future sustainable energy systems.
Such scientific events play a crucial role in sharing recent advances in electrochemical energy technologies, strengthening academic collaborations, and supporting the development of sustainable energy solutions.
