International Symposium on Intellectual Property Rights in Labour Relations was held at AYBU

 

International Symposium ın Intellectual Property Rights in Labour Relations was held at AYBU Etlik National Will Campus with the support of Turkish Republic Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Dean of AYBU Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. M. Fatih Uşan, Generel Director of Moral Rights of Turkish Republic Ministry of Culture and Tourism Dear Dr. H. Ziya Taşkent and Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı delivered the opening speeches of the program.

During his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı stated that “Intellectual Property Rights has recently been one of the most significant issues in law and is a serious problem in labour life. This program provides a multidisciplinary outlook to proprietary rights in labour relations and has an original quality due to the fact that it covers not only business law, but also intellectual property. Intellectual Property Law is embodies significant fields of studies and has almost a one hundred year past in the country. The founding of the labourers and authorities of higher education institutions and the public institutions are some of the innovations brought by Industrial Property Law which came in force in the year 2017.” Dear Rector added that the place that provides the basis for legal assurance to academicians, assistants and students of AYBU to have intellectual and industrial rights will be prepared by the founding obtained at the central laboratory and pointed out to the fact that the central laboratory will be prepared for it rapidly so as to embody the whole system.

After the opening speeches, Former General Director of Central and Eastern European Copyright Alliance Dear Dr. Mihaly J. Fıcsor delivered a presentation on “The Transference of Property and Rights under the light of The Protection of Intellectual Property in terms of Legal Politics”.

The symposium was held in four sessions. The first session was held under the moderatorship of Dean of AYBU Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. M. Fatih Uşan. During the session, presentations such as “The Concept of Author and Authorship of more than one person” by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ateş, “The Works of Dependent Labour Relations” by Fethi Merdivan and “ The Works of Industrial Rights as an Outcome of Dependent Labour Relations” by Dr. Cahit Suluk.

The second session was held under the moderatorship of Former General Director of Central and Eastern European Copyright Alliance Dear Dr. Mihaly J. Fıcsor. During the session, presentations such as “Patent in Workplaces” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pablo Fernandez Carballo-Calero, “The Obligation of Employer to the Worker who came up with a Discovery” by Prof. Dr. Talat Canbolat, “Innovation of the Labours at Private Sector” by Güler Ayyıldız Dalma “Intellectual Properrty Rights of the Staff at Public Sector- Innovations of the Projects carried out with the support of the Public” by Murat Baybalı.

The third session was held under the moderatorship of General Assembly Member of High Council of Judges and Prosecutors Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu. During the session, presentations such as “Innovations of Higher Education Institutions” by Dr. İbrahim Yaşar, “Technology Transfer Offices in the eyes of Academicians” by Prof. Dr. Ayşe Odman Boztosun, “Technology Transfer Offices in the eyes of Application”.

The fourth session was held under the moderatorship of Deputy General Director of Moral Rights of Turkish Republic Ministry of Culture and Tourism Fatoş Altunç. During the session, presentations such as “Author of Architectural Work in Labour Relations” by Prof. Dr. Hayri Bozgeyik, “Moral Rights in in Labour Relations of French Law” by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Stephanie Carre, “The Rights of Employer and Author in the Works of Labour Relations in German Law” Dr. Cannur Ercan and “The Discussion of the Authorship of Animals and Machines in Comparative Law” by Furkan Akıncı.

 

During the program that attracted great attention, 15 presentations at home and abroad were delivered.
