Advisory Board Meeting Held at AYBU

The annual meeting of the AYBU Advisory Board was held on September 15, 2025. The meeting, chaired by Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, was attended by Rector of the Social Sciences University of Ankara Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan; General Manager of the Ministry of Industry and Technology Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Ar; General Secretary of Memur-Sen and President of Sağlık-Sen Mahmut Faruk Doğan; Senior Advisor of the Ministry of Justice Muhittin Özdemir; General Manager of Ankara Teknopark Berk Yavru; Deputy General Manager Halil Can Güngör; and Deputy General Manager of Kalyon Solar Technologies Tolga Meriç Yanar.

 

At the meeting, information was provided about the university's strategic objectives, its goal of becoming a research university, and the progress made in the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP). Participants were informed about the work carried out within the quality assurance system, institutional development steps, and the schedule for upcoming field visits.

 

External stakeholders expressed their satisfaction with the university's rising academic success and its momentum in national rankings, highlighting its strengths. It was stated that the language proficiency, well-rounded profile, and national exam success of AYBU graduates, in particular, enhance the university's brand value. It was emphasized that developing research infrastructure, accrediting the Central Research Laboratory, and supporting commercialization processes will represent significant opportunities for both industry and the university.

 

The meeting also presented recommendations for expanding internship and on-the-job training opportunities, strengthening graduate tracking mechanisms, and increasing mentorship and technical trip opportunities to enhance students' technical and social skills. It was emphasized that the university's communication and promotional strategies should be strengthened, academic achievements should be shared more visibly with the public, and a culture of entrepreneurship should be promoted.

 

Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu stated that the participants' opinions and suggestions illuminated AYBU's journey towards quality and its goals of becoming a research university, and thanked all external stakeholders for their cooperation and contributions.
