Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) hosted a screening of the film "Grain of Wheat," which tells the life story of 28th-term AK Party Istanbul MP Serkan BAYRAM, followed by a talk, as part of Disability Week.
The event, held at the AYBU Etlik National Will Campus Conference Hall, was attended by AYBU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Akın Aktaş; AYBU Secretary General Dr. Mümin ŞEN; AYBU Unit Coordinator Prof. Dr. Bahar ANAFOROĞLU; Attorney Serkan BAYRAM; the Turkish Armed Forces Wheelchair Basketball Team coaching staff and players; the National Amputee Team coach and players; and students and academics from universities in Ankara.
Organized by the Accessible AYBU Unit, the film "Grain of Wheat," which tells the life story of Attorney Serkan BAYRAM, was screened with the audience. Following the film screening, a discussion took place.
"We Are Working for a Barrier-Free World"
In his speech at the discussion, Member of Parliament Serkan Bayram emphasized their continued efforts to remove barriers in Turkey and around the world, saying, "We are continuing our struggle for a barrier-free world, a barrier-free Turkey. We will achieve this together. You lose not when you fall, but when you give up. This is our vision of life. What I couldn't hold with my hands, I held on to with my heart, and I never let go. I hope this film will bring hope to our citizens with disabilities. I thank Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University for their support."
The event concluded with great interest from the participants.
