The Culduzay Association from Kazakhstan visited various institutions to examine successful practices implemented for people with disabilities in Türkiye. As part of their visits, the delegation visited Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of National Education, and the Serçev and Altındağ Municipalities.
Information Shared on Disability Services at AYBU
The delegation, visiting Ankara at the invitation of the Turkish Beyazay Association, received detailed information about projects implemented for people with disabilities at AYBU.
During the visit, presentations were made on systematic details, academic support programs, and special education programs that facilitate access to universities for people with disabilities. AYBU informed the Kazakh delegation about the role of universities in Türkiye within the scope of holistic disability policies and their implementation efforts.
Models from Türkiye Will Set an Example for Kazakhstan
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Culduzay Association executives Kuderinova Aykerym Merekeqyzy and G.B. Isabaeva stated that assistance for people with disabilities in Türkiye is carried out in a comprehensive and coordinated manner. The administrators stated that they aim to create a similar model in Kazakhstan, inspired by this experience, and that they want to work in collaboration with AYBU.
Strengthening International Cooperation
This important visit is considered a critical step in the collaboration between Turkey and Kazakhstan to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. The contacts, which will facilitate the sharing of best practices in education and social services for individuals with disabilities, are expected to lay the groundwork for stronger cooperation between the two countries.
