The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics –EGO that is going to be held between October 16-23, 2022 by TUBİTAK is coordinated by AYBU Faculty Member and committee leader Prof. Dr. Fatih Demirci.
160 Female students out of 44 countries take part in The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics –EGO that is held in Antalya hosted by TUBİTAK.
Turkey is hosting 300 people including the trainees of the female students in the frame of the organization.
The award ceremony is going to be held on 22 October, 2022. The winners will be awarded by Turkish Republic Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank.
The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics –EGO has been organized on the international level since the year 2021 with the purpose of enhancing the interests of the girls to informatics. The Olympiad was held in two days in which the participants solved algorithmic problems. Each country took part in the Olympiad with maximum four female students who receive secondary or high school education.
A female student that represents Turkey was rewarded with a bronze medal during the The European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics that was held in Sweden last year to which 157 students out of 43 countries took place.
