Thanks to Disability Week (10-16th of May),”Life is better with Differences” Program was organized by
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Theraphy and Rehabilitation Program.
AYBU Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydınlı, District Governor of ÇUBUK District Adem Ateş, Deputy Mayor
of Municipality of Çıbuk Harun Olmuş, National AthleteS, guestsi academicians and students took part
in the program during which visually disabled music teacher Ahizer Özbek and Saray Barrier-Free
Living and Rehabilitation Centre Janissary Band performed their performance.
The program was initiated with National Anhem and protocol speeches and continued with the
performance of Saray Barrier-Free Living and Rehabilitation Centre Janissary Band and music
performance of visually disabled music teacher Ahizer Özbek both of which attracted great attention.
Then, the students of AYBU Theraphy and Rehabilitation Program sang a song with sign language.
The program continued with the speech of Deputy Director of Turkish Sports Federation of Physically
Disabled Bahar ANAFOROĞLU KÜLÜNKOĞLU on the success and objectives of the federation. Then
Coach of Wheelchair National Basketball Team Selim DEMİRDAĞ, basketballer of the team Volkan
Gülem and National Swimmer Beytullah Eroğlu delivered speeches.
The program came to an end with the presentation of certificated of presentation.
