In accordance with the analyses carried out URAP Research Laboratory established within the body of Middle East Technical University Informatics Institute, the ranking of URAP 2021-2022 Turkey Ranking has been published. According to the results prepared in the line with the data published by Clarivate Analytics/In Cites and Higher Education Council, with its score 524,8, AYBU ranks 35th among 179 universities; 29th among 121 public universities and 4th among 108 universities established after the year 2000.
In the assessment of the universities, criterions, the number of articles, the number of articles per a faculty member, number of attribution, total scientific document number, total scientific document number per a faculty member, number of Ph.D. students, the rate of Ph.D. students, and the number of students per a faculty member were considered.
The ranking of URAP, which is a significant source of reference for academic studies and shows the performance of the universities in producing knowledge offers the opportunity to set a target for the universities; to compare their own academic performance with other universities and to assist them to recognize their areas that are open for development in accordance with the determined criterions.
